Captain Paolo Cassius, was the plank owner captain of the Earth Federation mobile suit carrier White Base. Mortally wounded during the Zeon attack on Side 7, he died a few days later, command passing to Ensign Bright Noa. Despite dying with injury, his personal plea to Luna II had given the White Base crew a much-needed resupply. Shortly after his death, he was given a military funeral, and his body was committed to the sea of space.
